We hear North Shore doc, Kenneth Weiss, who just took possession of 118-foot Perini Navi "super yacht," has been throwing parties on deck of the Charlestown-berthed Gitana during this week's Boston boatfest.

Sadly, his buddy, George Clooney, who stayed at the doc's swank digs in Gloucester's Eastern Point during last year's filming of "The Perfect Storm," wasn't stowed away in a stateroom!

Word is, the megabucks yacht was formerly owned by the Italian branch of the oh-so-rich Rothschild family who are reportedly demanding that Weiss re-name the Gitana. Apparently it's a name near and dear in their family tree.

But Gitana's new owner has no intention of scraping her name off the transom, we're told. Oooh, this could get nasty!

After the tall ships cast off to other ports, the Gitana will head to her homeport in Gloucester. Anchors Aweigh!
